Huge 'Twin Peaks' DVD News
Posted by Rick Jessup, October 22 10:35 AM

It's place in history is as one of the better TV shows to ever air, and even years later fans still congregate online to discuss it. It stands as the only show I ever took the time to tape every episode of. Now, for fans of David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks', the DVD news you've been waiting for seems poised to arrive.

For the uninitiated, thus far we have a North American release of the first season, minus the pilot. We have the movie - 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me' - in the theatrical version. The pilot has only been released overseas due to the fact that Artisan owns the rights, while Paramount owns the rights to everything else. The second season has never made its way to DVD.

Now comes word that Artisan's rights will expire in September of 2005, clearing the way for Paramount to finally own the rights to the entire series. What does this mean? You guessed it - approximately one year from now you can expect:

I, for one, can't wait.
