He-Man, Thundercats DVDs Announced
Posted by Rick Jessup, April 22 09:39 AM

The 80s revolution continues. After the DVD success of 'Transformers' and 'GI Joe' season sets the cupboards are being raided to bring even more old cartoons to disc. I've already discussed the coming 'He-Man and the Masters of the Universe' sets, but what I failed to mention at the time was the July 12th "10 Episode Collector's Edition". Set up at a list price of $25USD the set will contain the 10 most popular episodes as voted by readers of he-man.org: Evilseed, Quest for He-Man, Prince Adam No More, Diamond Ray of Disappearance, Teela's Quest, Into the Abyss, Teela's Triumph, To Save Skeletor, The Problem with Power, and Origin of the Sorceress. The set will also feature two new documentary featurettes and exclusive 4"x6" art cards, as well as some fluff material.

Hot on the heels of He-Man is news that 'Thundercats: Season 1, Volume 1' will arrive on August 9th featuring 33 episodes of the cartoon series. A featurette will be included, and the second half of the first season is scheduled for later in the fall. More details on this one as they come.
