'Iron Chef America' To Return as a Series

Food Network has found their 'Iron Chef America' series was so popular amongst viewers that the show has been picked up as a series to debut this coming January. The original series pitted the Iron Chefs from America (Bobby Flay, Wolfgang Puck, Mario Batali) against Iron Chefs from Japan (Morimoto, Sakai). The new series will see Wolfgang Puck replaced by Morimoto, a former Japanese chef now living and working in the United States, against a series of contenders mostly based out of the US. Already signed to compete are former Food Network host Ming Tsai ('East Meets West') and famous chef/author Rick Bayless.
