The Lester B Pearson Award is awarded annually to the ECHL's outstanding player in the regular season, as judged by the ECHL GM Awards Committee.

The award is named in honour of Lester B Pearson, Prime Minister of Canada from 1963 to 1968 and winner of the 1957 Nobel Peace Prize and is the only ECHL award named after a politician. Wayne Gretzky won the award a record 5 times, from 1982-1987. It was purchased by the ECHL prior to the 2004-2005 season.

ECHL4 Lester B Pearson Award Winner

Cory StillmanCORY STILLMAN, LW
Tampa Bay Lightning

Never in the history of the ECHL have two men from a single team found themselves nominated for the league's outstanding player, but one look at the stats shows there could be no other choices. Cory Stillman, a league veteran at 31-years-old, had a career year in ECHL4, leading the league in assists (69), points (115), and +/- (+77) while faring well in just about every category that could be measured. 3rd in goals (46), 4th in shooting percentage (19.8%), and the only non-goaltender to appear on the league's star points list with 105. It was his dominance that helped bring the Lightning to new league records in wins and points in ECHL4.
