From September 3rd to 8th I took a trip to Cannes, France (via Nice) for a quarterly meeting with a company I work as a North American sales and marketing representative for. It was part business, and part the generosity of an excellent company who decided to treat their entire Stockholm staff (plus myself) to a few days in a beautiful French city. After a marathon trip to get there for myself (it's only a short hop for my Swedish friends!) we met up at the Aeroport Nice C�te d'Azur for a bus trip into The Residence All Suites Hotel in Cannes. The goal in Cannes should almost always be to see the beaches and to eat the food, and we did both more than once. Enough pictures were taken that, much like the previous New Zealand slide shows, I've actually broken it down into two different presentations.

The first one reflects the city of Cannes itself, as well a as a trip to the Chateau St. Martin vineyard and winery in Vence, a small town closer to the centre of France than Cannes. The winery had existed well over 2,000 years, with our tour including a look at the existing barrels created by the monks that had first begun the practice of making wine here. A nice lunch followed our sampling, which was in turn followed by spankings. Well.. you'll see.

The second slideshow is essentially a look at the beaches of Cannes, including one beautiful, secluded beach we attended on Saturday. There's plenty to look at here, and although I did manage to snap some pictures of the topless action on the beaches, these presentations have been cleaned up for younger viewing. You men who absolutely require unaltered images in high resolution - e-mail me. Oh, and both songs appear on the latest album by Montreal's great band The Dears. I once played in a band with their keyboardist, Natalia, but don't let that weigh on your mind - this is one amazing local Canadian band you owe it to yourself to hear. The song in the first slideshow is "Don't Lose the Faith", and "Warm And Sunny Days" in the second.

Quick technical notes - to view these you'll need the Macromedia Flash Player to view them, and they are definitely meant for high-speed connections.
