From January 4th to 9th I took a trip to Stockholm, Sweden to begin work with a new company there. It was a short amount of time to see the workplace, meet the staff, learn what it was I'd be doing and, with luck, see a little bit of Sweden. Unfortunately, the -20oC temperatures were not conducive to a lot of siteseeing, and this shorter than usual 50-slide presentation represents the only bit of sites I took in. The final day saw temperatures warm up a bit and I took a quick run around the city. Of course, this doesn't even begin to do this beautiful city justice as I only took an hour out of my night to run around and left most of Stockholm untouched. Perhaps one day I'll have a chance to go back, as I was told many times that it was a beautiful place to be in the summer months.

You'll find pictures of the Hotel Terminus where I stayed in what seemed to be a fairly authentic representation of what I thought a European hotel would look like, and even some shots of familiar restaurants like Pizza Hut and Burger King. You'll also find pictures of the tarantula that had residence behind my head in the office I had. Any questions, let me know!

Quick technical notes - to view these you'll need the Macromedia Flash Player to view them, and they are definitely meant for high-speed connections. If you find the sound or video choppy simply leave the computer for a bit and let them load through once. When you come back, refresh the page and it should play nicely out of your cache. I recommend pressing F11 when the video loads. You'll see it in full screen. When you're done, press F11 again and close the window to return to this page.
