From September 16-21 I attended the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, the largest gaming related conference in the World. I had never been to Las Vegas and this seemed like as good a time as any to make my way there. A series of friends would be attending as well and it would give me a chance to get some writing done for my gaming portal, Gaming Jackpots. I flew in at 10:30PM Vegas time, 1:30AM back home, and so it began. I stayed at the Paris Las Vegas while I was there, but also managed to take some time to see the nearby hotels and casinos. Much time was spent at the Bellagio, but there are no pictures of the inside.

Because the conference was three days I didn't have a lot of time to see Vegas as I should have. On my Friday there, Steve and I took the time to see as much of the city as possible, which is where most of these pics come from. We spent a lot of time at New York, New York, which really blew me away with the detail that had gone into it. It was truly a replication of New York City in Vegas. We rode that roller coaster you'll see going throughout the skyline, and Steve actually hit the 1000 credit jackpot on the Wheel of Fortune slot machine he's pointing at in another. The gentleman with Pac-Man is John, who I have spoken with for a couple years, who's been writing for my site for a while, but who I had never met. I had a great time at the Coyote Cafe with him, his father, his father's girlfriend, and his grandmother. The gent with Steve in the second last picture is Mario, a fellow internet gaming guy who I had met only briefly once in May but turned out to be a great guy, I really enjoyed hanging out at the MGM Grand with the two of them. I can't wait until next year when we can do it all again. All in all, a great time but MAN was I tired when I got back. I decided not to sleep Friday night and ended up paying for it. I can't wait to get back, though!
