Latino Review – the same group who spoiled Brandon Routh as Superman – have announced John Woo’s selection of The Rock as He-Man in the upcoming live action ‘Masters of the Universe’ film. Scheduled for the summer of 2006 the film will be based on the popular action figures and cartoon program from the 1980s titled ‘He-Man and the Masters of the Universe’, pitting He-Man against the evil Skeletor. If The Rock gets the role, as it is rumoured he already has, he will have beat former wrestling enemy Triple H, who had been suggested a front runner after his turn in ‘Blade: Trinity’.
