  1. Well said Mark. I will never be a hunter, but that’s me. I’d much prefer people in our country getting hunting licensing and learning about why it’s important, to those that buy illegal handguns and hunt other people. Big difference! :) Good luck! Watching any Survivorman? Most ‘outdoorsy’ camping I did included going into caves for our own ice, and hunting grouse for food. Not really my cup ‘o tea. Good luck!

  2. Survivorman is awesome, I love that show. I wish he’d make some more. As for hunting, I can’t say I have a moral objection, I’m a carnivore. But try as I might I can’t bring myself to joining the hunting brigade. I could probably bring myself around to the shooting part, it’s the dragging/cutting/cleaning part that would get to me.

  3. A license hunter, huh… you go around hunting through peoples’ wallets looking for licenses? ;)
I have no problem with hunting for food, but when you’re hunting to put a stuffed head on your mantle, that pisses me off.

  4. Rob I think you will find that many people in Canada use what they take in hunting. Most hunters are also very much into conservation and know that its the only way to maintain the sport.
Shaz, I have watched survivorman and love the show too. Its cool that you were willing to experience things like hunting grouse for food, even if it isn’t something you enjoyed. Grouse is actually one of the birds that I will be hunting for this fall, along with partridge.
