Fox and team behind ‘American Idol’ have announced their intentions to bring ‘Celebrity Idol’ to airwaves this November. The ‘Idol’-like show will feature 10 “well-known faces” competing for $1,000,000 towards the charity of their choice, running 10 episodes over only three weeks. The intention is to use celebrities with little-to-no history of professional singing, and will not have audition shows nor “results” shows. In their defence, Fox insists the idea for a celebrity-themed ‘Idol’ has been underway for years, but you can’t blame people for wondering.
