Calling the reality TV industry “a 21st-century telecommunications industry sweatshop” the western President of the Writers Guild of America Daniel Petrie Jr announced an effort to organize employees and stars of reality TV. Variety reported WGA West claims they hold 1,000 signatures from writers, producers, and editors, and that an organized meeting last month drew over 500 attendees.
