Less than a year ago ABC was a laughing stock, regularly falling fourth (or worse) amongst the major networks with no hits to speak of. Mere months later yet another bonafide top 10 hit for the network has been picked up for a second full-season commitment – ‘Grey’s Anatomy’. The medical drama had originally been planned as a brief four-episode replacement series while ‘Boston Legal’ was scheduled for reruns, but surprised the network and critics alike when it out-performed its predecessor by a significant margin. ‘Boston Legal’ fans need not be too dismayed – the five unaired episodes of the show will air as part of a longer 2005/06 season.
