George Lucas Announces Two New ‘Star Wars’ TV Series

It’s Lucas news day. Variety has reported that George Lucas has confirmed plans for two new ‘Star Wars’ television series. The first will be an animated 30-minute following up where Cartoon Network’s ‘Clone Wars’ ended off. The second, and perhaps more exciting for fans, will be a live action series focusing on the supporting characters from the third film, and will take place in the years between episodes three and four. There was no confirmation on the rumour that Kevin Smith will be responsible for the live action series, nor has a network or air date been announced.
