It just doesn’t pay to be a loyal fan of a Fox show. Turns out the network has changed their mind again, and will cut the sixth and final broadcast of the special “second season” of the cancelled show in favour of a repeat of ‘The Simple Life: Interns’. The show had developed a mild cult following during its first season, and a loyal fanbase, but it wasn’t enough to save the show for a second season. However, Fox had recently announced plans to replace their low-rated ‘Point Pleasant’ show with the six previously unaired ‘Tru Calling’ episodes, and will air the fifth this week. Unfortunately, the fate of the final episode is unknown, and may never be seen. The fourth installment of the show ran a low 3.0/5 rating last Thursday for fourth place in the timeslot, behind a 16.5/26 for ‘CSI’ (usually the highest rated program of the week), 8.3/13 for ‘The Apprentice’, and 3.6/6 for ‘WWE SmackDown!’.
