I guess I’m already getting a bit behind here. Things haven’t been terribly eventful – I’ve just been touring around, checking things out, blah blah blah. I’ve been to the aforementioned Caffe Artigiano twice now, and both times paled in comparison to my experience at The Laughing Bean on East Hastings. I heard about this place through a forum online and made plans to check it out. I can’t wait to get back and show everyone the latte art the barista here made me. Whereas “the home of latte art” Artigiano has thus far given me a heart and a leaf, the Laughing Bean gave me a portrait of myself. Seriously. Which I then proceeded to bat over and spill. They kindly made me a replacement with a stick figure version of me, which was still great and – although rushed – much better than anything Artigiano did. If you’re from Vancouver, or planning to come by (Cliff…), be sure to drop in. Just remember – latte art deserves tips. ;)
For food I’ve hit Stepho’s, a popular greek restaurant and Memphis Blues, an authentic bbq pit in the heart of Vancouver. Both were quite good. Today – well, today’s experience I shall discuss later. Here’s a hint – it sucked. But I just finished dinner – some authentic chinese food served late on Davies. Wish I liked chinese food.
Anyways, it’s bed time. Tomorrow – UBC to visit Mark, WINNERonline offices to surprise those kids, another Laughing Bean visit, and perhaps Cin Cin. We shall see where the day takes me.
Cheers!
