Prior to leaving her post, Gail Berman announced today that Fox’s first strong program to air opposite CBS’ ‘Survivor’, ‘The OC’, has been picked up for another season. The show has averaged near seven million viewers on Thursdays at 8PM, a timeslot that had been a disaster for Fox in the past. While ratings have been down near two million viewers since last season, a more competitive timeslot without ‘American Idol’ as a lead-in are to blame.
