It looks like Fox has been reading my diary with their announcement that, effective immediately, the Wednesday results show of ‘American Idol’ will be taken to 30 minutes instead of the bloated 60 used so far this season. The immediate reasoning is not clear as ratings have still been high for the snoozefest, but it is expected that it is simply to pump the ratings for the new comedy ‘Life on a Stick’ later this month. Until then it will be reruns of ‘That ’70s Show’ filling the 9:30 timeslot.
I was pleasantly surprized last night. 30 minutes is great. No more – you got the lowest number of votes – now let’s hear you sing. Always painful. So glad Fox is listening to you. Maybe you should write a blog on bringing back Get a Life and Herman’s Head.
Man.. Herman’s Head, featuring Lisa Simpson’s voice coming out of some crazy short broad. Good show, though. But if I can bring back just one show it shall be The Last Precinct, simply because it was funny and I’m the only person alive who seems to remember it.
