Blogathon: Help Make A Difference

It’s official – I’m blogging for 24 hours one week tomorrow (Saturday the 26th) starting at midnight and every half hour at least until Sunday the 27th at midnight. It’s going to stink, and it won’t be easy, but I’m hoping the hearts of the readership will make it worthwhile.
My carefully chosen charity is The Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal – a non-denominational charity that helps those in need throughout Canada. There’s plenty of information on this charity on their website and I hope some of you will see fit to help out a good cause. My goal was $200 in total donations, which means only 20 people donating $10… 10 people donating $20.. you get the picture. ;)
I’ve placed a button under the Zonkboard you can click on to make a pledge (no money up front) through my account at Blogathon.org. Upon my successful completion of the Blogathon, they will then alert you via e-mail for payment.
Please direct any questions my way – and hopefully I’ll see everyone here a week tomorrow to keep me company on the Zonk!
Cheers!

  4. I fear pledging $15…

  5. Good luck Rick! I won’t be thinking of you though because my sister is getting married on the 26th!

  6. I pledged. And I will be thinking of you, Rick, since Carrie’s sister is getting married on the 26th. :)
