Three Days Remain

Hard to believe we’re almost at 2003 already, the years go by way too quickly. With that comes the usual reflection on the previous year, and it’s been a tough one for many of us. This is being coupled by the fact that I’m slowly coming to the realization that I’m about to begin my last full year as a 20-something, as I’ll turn 30 in February of 2004. I don’t mind saying that, like many others out there, I’m not where I’d hoped to be at this age. Here’s hoping 2003 is about to bring good things and cool changes.
If anything, regardless of venturing out on my own to launch a few businesses successful by just about any stretch of imagination except financially, this year will be remembered as the year of the injury for me. Just for good measure I’ve added yet another to close 2002 off. The same shoulder that was separated in May started acting up again. I couldn’t move it for two days so I hit the clinic where they think it’s inflammation of the rotator cuff, although they also hinted that it could be a tear. I’m on some nasty pills that require me to avoid sunlight and take only with food that are supposed to make me happy again. This is unlikely, but I do what I’m told.
Speaking of doing what I’m told, I’m going to work for a new client a week today located in Sweden. I’ll still be situated here in Ontario, but I will be flying out to Sweden from January 4th – 9th to meet the new co-workers and learn the system before coming back home to work as a North American rep for them through my company. Should be pretty interesting, they’re great people I first had a chance to meet in May at a conference. Unfortunately, without a laptop computer at this stage in my life, it looks like any remote blog posts won’t be forthcoming at that time. Still, I’ll try, and you know I’ll be stealing someone’s digital camera to capture Stockholm for posterity.
Cheers!
