Well, sorry for that small four-day abscence. I don’t like to announce my departures for fear evildoers will decide to thieve my plunder from the homestead, but I took off last Friday night to spend the holidays with my wife’s family up north and returned at 3AM Christmas morning to start the whirlwind one-day tour of my family. Lots of fun was had, food was eaten, drink was drunk, gifts were opened, and all was well. I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday, be it Christmas, Hannukah, Ramadan, or bank. I see some of you kept the site busy in my absence which is cool! :)
Prior to leaving I had begun properly conditioning myself all around on eating and fitness, to the point I was doing the six handful-sized meals a day alongside a good 90-minute or so workout and things were doing well. So you can imagine this past week has not been good for that – I had 5 turkey dinners in a 24-hour span yesterday, including 4 within 5 hours of each other. I’m now morbidly obese once again and have sworn off food for the day to get myself back in shape. I look like a dang Kangaroo with all the kids home.
I shall post the annual Christmas gift list a little bit later to make y’all jealous, and urge you to post yours in the comments so I can see what wicked-ace stuff you hauled.
In the meantime, my best belated wishes!
Cheers!
Hey !
POW!
that’s what you get for being gone for so long.
C’mon Rick. We’re still waiting for you to post your list of Christmas gifts & make us all jealous.
For now, I’ve got one to make people drool (literally): I got a draft beer system. All I need is a screwdriver, a drill, and a keg of beer, and my currently-unused extra fridge will be dispensing pints like my neighbourhood pub.
What was everyone else’s favourite gift?

Kip,
I do the online marketing (or did, not sure if I still am..) for The Beer Machine – http://www.beermachine.com – I have one, pretty cool stuff. The beer tastes better the more you drink. Funny that.
