Finally, after being addicted to four previous Survivors, and being an avid spoiler of the last three, I FINALLY nailed one from day one. Here it was, as written on my prognostication website, ~12 weeks ago:
“Every season we get a vocal lead in the first episode that takes us to the eventual winner. Richard Hatch told us to put his name on the check, and they did. Sean told us a black person couldn’t win Survivor – and then one did. So what was the proverbial straw breaking the camel’s back in episode one of Survivor: Thailand for me? Brian’s “it’s a business trip” comment sounds as good as any to tease us into the final rounds when the user car salesman/porn star pulls one out .. er .. a win, that is. Of course, this could always change, always keep your eyes on this page.”
It never did change, and as noted earlier this week on this here blog, I actually put my money where my mouth was with a $21USD bet on big Brian. So I’m now $42USD richer with bragging rights as a Survivor spoiler extraordinaire. Only two months until the next edition, Survivor: Amazon takes place, and I’ll be doing it again then. If any of you enjoy the show and wish to be part of my Survivor pool, just give me a shout. We’d love to have a few more faces around, I’d even love to build a spoiling group that does more than just read other people’s spoilers.
I’m off to finally get the Christmas cards written and the presents wrapped, at least my “vent posts” streak came to an end. ;)
