The neverending quest to kill Fox by the other big three networks is moving along with the announcement that ABC News is hard at work on an “explosive expose” on Fox’s ‘American Idol’, just in time for May sweeps. Daily Variety has reported that the staff of ‘Primetime Live’ are currently fact checking and preparing a story that will “take a hard look at the relationship between ‘Idol’ judges and contestants”, and has been in process for several months already. It is not expected the piece will be favourable, as previous ‘Primetime Live’ segments on the popular show have been.
