Yahoo! is one of the most popular engines on the Internet. Unlike the
others, Yahoo! is more of a categorized link list than a search engine.
Here are some tips on how to use it:
- Use the Net Events feature to see a listing of the present day's
Web chats and live events.
- Use the People Search to find telephone numbers, street addresses,
e-mail addresses, and personal pages.
- Search Yahoo! for categories or concepts, not specific sites. It
is a good idea to start broad and gradually move more specific.
- Even if your request turns up no exact matches, check for categories in
the less applicable matches that may bring you to something related that
doesn't use the exact wording you did.
- You can always use the Search Engine links at the bottom of the
page and Yahoo! will automatically forward your search there.
