Good news for fans of good television abounds - with a little good news for fans of crap television too. The fall listings are coming out and here's what I deem the important notes:

* "24" is back!

* ABC is bringing back their TGIF Comedy Friday lineup. It will be headlined by "George Lopez" and "Life with Bonnie". And you thought their original TGIF headlined by Urkel was bad. If ABC wants to get out of the basement then bring Janet and Chrissy on to "8 Simple Rules.." - trust me. Why must ABC always be years behind the trends - more sitcoms? Bah. (waves paw)

* "Dragnet" is back! Woo-hoo! I actually like that show, but I didn't think it would make it. They're renaming it "L.A. Dragnet" and bringing in new characters. They just need to redo Ethan Embry's character, he dresses bad.

* "Alias" is back!

* Almost as surprising, "Boomtown" gets renewed. Surprising, but good - everyone should give this show at least one shot. I'm happy to see networks giving good, underwatched shows a chance to succeed.

* ABC is broadcasting the wedding of "The Bachelorette" Trista Rehn and her "winner" Ryan Sutter. :|

* NBC gave Whoopi Goldberg a show. Lousy sons of bi..... umm.. jerks.

* Kelly Ripa is getting a third show to go along with her soap and talk show. That should mean her marriage is over in about ... 5 months.

* "Ed" is back!

Ah, and most importantly, The Jayhawks are on Letterman tonight - check them out, they're great guys.

Rob - the Peanut Butter Jelly Time banana rules! how can you watch that dance and not get down with your bad self?!

Con - I don't see it happening, really. Guess they'd have to call it 2.4.. hehe..

Cliff - you should DEFINITELY be watching 24, not to is just plain wrong. Alias rules because a hot chick wears tight clothes and kicks butt. And Ed is just nice with a hella cool soundtrack.

And I forgot to watch The Jayhawks last night. ;/
