SPOILERS: Survivor 11, Week 3

OVERALL: 3-3
BOOT: 1-1
IMMUNITY: 2-0
REWARD: 0-2

Finally got one wrong.. I can't generate the passion to research this stuff this year, which is disappointing.

REWARD
I think Jeff's comment that Nakum was safe "for at least one day" is suspicious - the last time we had a whole ton of castaways they had, if I recall, one or two single-day episodes and one double-boot episode. I'm going to go for the single-day episode, which means two challenges in one.

IMMUNITY
Nakum seems to be the strong tribe this time as they've appeared to come together so far and work as a team, not worrying so much about immediately "playing the game" so to speak. Yaxha seems far more divided, and thus unlikely to come together here properly, much to Steph's chagrin. Nakum pulls out yet another, and probably wins a reward of some kind in addition to immunity.

BOOT
I guess the obvious choice is Gary, who has made himself a target by being the boss. That said, Lydia knows her girls weren't anxious to stand up for her, and I can picture Gary bringing her over to a "boys" alliance that he could potentially attempt to turn into a geezers alliance. With Amy's ankle injury noted in the commercial she becomes an easy target for a person like Gary who needs to direct people away from him. Brianna and Stephenie get caught by surprise when Amy goes home.

First Lady To Make ABC Guest Appearance

First Lady Laura Bush has taped an episode of ABC's Sunday night feel-good reality drama 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' in hurricane-ravaged Biloxi, Mississippi. She attended the site yesterday with the cast and crew of the show to visit a shelter and deliver bedding, clothing, and supplies to those affected by Hurricane Katrina. Executive Producer Tom Forman has indicated that the show has begun to sway from their regular format of "one needy family home in a week" to spending their time delivering sponsor-provided supplies to victims of Hurricane Katrina and Rita. No air date was announced for the Bush episode.

Pontiac Offers Up Odd 'Survivor' Contest

Cars and 'Survivor' have gone together like stink and monkeys since the first Aztek was handed out in season one, but the latest Pontiac giveaway may have some scratching their heads. The Survivor Search in the City contest encourages fans to snap a picture of selected Survivors in their new Pontiac Torrents for a chance to win five of the new cars. The website contains a map of states one can find Rob Mariano (New England and Florida), Ethan Zohn (New York), Gervase Peterson (Pennsylvania and New Jersey), Rupert Boneham (Illinois and Indiana), Erin Collins (Texas), and Jerry Manthey (California) and snap a digital photo of them to enter, their schedule to make stalking even easier, and even a blog to read their thoughts. Gervase's blog notes he's already been caught once. Those of you into celebrity stalking can finally get rewarded for your efforts!

'Head Cases' Is First Fall Casualty

Less than a week into the official fall season Fox has drawn first blood and cancelled their new legal drama 'Head Cases'. Their press release touting the cancellation after only two episodes made it clear the remaining four will not be aired. Starring Chris O'Donnell and Adam Goldberg the show followed two lawyers who had previously spent time in a mental rehabilitation centre, and had debuted to very low ratings. Running against the premieres of 'Lost' and 'America's Next Top Model' this past Wednesday did nothing to help their cause, drawing little over 3,000,000 viewers.

'The OC' Mobile Video Game On the Way

I'm not going to even attempt to rephrase this one from the mouth of TV Guide's Michael Ausiello: "Gameloft has unveiled plans for a mobile video game based on The O.C. Slated to launch next year, the game allows players to explore the O.C. universe by dressing to impress, joining the right cliques and spotting the gay subtext between Ryan and Seth." Can't hardly wait.

Tonight's New Shows and Premieres

The Apprentice: Martha Stewart, NBC/Global, 8PM
Mark Burnett brings a new spin-off to his Donald Trump reality show, this one featuring the same premise but starring Martha Stewart and her assistants: her daughter Alexis Stewart and her company's chairman Charles Koppleman. Episode one challenges the two teams to create a children's book.

E-Ring, NBC/Global, 9PM
When an American "asset" in China sends out a call for help, Major Jim Tinewski (Benjamin Bratt) must take on the responsibility of convincing not only his superior, Colonel Bob McNulty (Dennis Hopper), but the Joint Chiefs of Staff and their advisors that the United States should risk a potential war with China and come to her rescue. It's a hub of highly explosive conflicts between decorated and experienced American military heroes and the civilians to whom they report.

Invasion, ABC/CTV, 10PM
A small Florida town is ravaged by a hurricane (kudos to ABC for going ahead with the show regardless of the current real life tragedies), and strange occurences begin soon after. Park ranger Russell Varon (Eddie Cibrian) refuses to believe his daughter Rose (Ariel Gade), who claims to have seen lights over the water during the storm, but things change when he finds his ex-wife (Kari Matchett) naked in the water the following day, and the invasion begins.

Lost, ABC/CTV, 9PM
Preceded by a 'Destination: Lost' chronological season one recap, the season premiere of 'Lost' promises to start with a trip down the hatch, where it's not "what?" that may be the question, but "how did it get there?". The website also teases Shannon stumbling upon a familiar face in the jungle.

Law & Order, NBC, 10PM
When a 5-year-old girl is abducted from her mother in broad daylight during an apparent car jacking, Detectives Fontana and Green canvass the streets, only to uncover a more sinister motive when they discover the car intact but no trace of the girl. The investigators soon unearth an ex-convict with the child's bloodied dress -- but he won't talk until he's guaranteed release. With time and leads running out and the prospect of the girl's safe return looking unlikely, A.D.A.s McCoy and Borgia consider a deal with severe legal and political ramifications.

Still Standing, CBS, 8PM
Brian makes Bill and Judy proud when he admits to becoming a man on his summer trip to Italy.

Yes, Dear, CBS, 8:30PM
Jimmy and Kim get tough with Greg when he starts to enjoy the benefits of unemployment too much.

NBC Bringing 'Friday Night Lights' to TV

Peter Berg's popular 2004 movie 'Friday Night Lights' is being brought to the small screen as a 2006 drama. Details obviously aren't terribly forthcoming at this early stage of development, but Berg is back to create the smaller version of the film, and the setting will be moved to present day from the 1980s depicted in the theatrical movie.

Tyra Banks Proves Breasts Are Real

Star of UPN's 'America's Next Top Model', Tyra Banks, has gone to great measures in order to increase her ratings prove her breasts are real to the world. Appearing on her talk show yesterday, Banks had all men in the audience escorted from the room, removed her bra from under her shirt, and had plastic surgeon Garth Fisher perform a live sonogram. "I've performed approximately 8,000 breast-implant surgeries, I've examined you, I've reviewed your sonogram," the doctor said, "and Tyra Banks has natural breasts." Banks explained her unhuman boobies by crediting them to the wonders of push-up bras.

Kevin Smith Guests on 'Joey'

NBC's 'Joey' needs all the help it can get, and in an odd bid of guest-casting, movie maker and 'Degrassi' guest star Kevin Smith will be making an appearance on this Thursday's season premiere of the not-very-popular NBC sitcom. Although details of his role aren't known, he will be playing himself.

It looks like talks to give Brad Garrett an 'Everybody Loves Raymond' spin-off are heating up, just as Garrett joked on stage during this weekend's Emmy Awards telecast. Rumours persist that the creative and executive production team behind the popular CBS sitcom - which won the Best Comedy Emmy - are on board, along with cast members Chris Elliott (Peter MacDougall), Georgia Engel (Pat MacDougall), Monica Horan (Amy Barone), and Fred Willard (Hank MacDougall).

Tonight's New Shows and Premieres

My Name is Earl, NBC/CH, 9PM
Tonight's only new show is a critically acclaimed one I didn't manage to see, but I plan to. Starring Jason Lee the half-hour series follows Earl, a man inflicted with bad karma after years of mistreating others, who goes about the process of making amends with those he's crossed in hopes of improving his fortunes.

Dancing With the Stars: Dance-Off, ABC/CTV, 8:30PM
The controversy surrounding Kelly Monaco's victory in the popular summer series 'Dancing With the Stars' is finally put to rest tonight when, in this 90-minute special, she faces off one last time against John O'Hurley and America votes for a winner. Results show airs Thursday.

NCIS, CBS, 8PM
The third season premiere follows Gibbs (Mark Harmon) has he attempts to deal with the death of Kate with a bullet meant for him, and the team begins to assemble the evidence required to put her murderer (Rudolf Martin) behind bars.

According to Jim, ABC/CTV, 8PM
I have no idea why anyone would watch this show, but in case you're interested, Jim sneaks Kyle out of his first day of kindergarten to go see a Cubs game - against Cheryl's wishes. Hilarity ensues.

The Office, NBC/CH, 9:30PM
In the season premiere episode, the Dunder Mifflin employees suffer through the annual office awards ceremony, "The Dundies," hosted by pompous boss Michael Scott (Steve Carell) at their local watering hole - a Chili's restaurant.

Law & Order: SVU, NBC/CTV, 10PM
After 21 years, sex offender Ray Schenkel (Robert Patrick) is released from jail. Retired officer William Dorsey (Robert Walden) who initially locked him up, is convinced he'll offend again and begs Detectives Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Stabler (Chris Meloni) to put him away for good. Stabler goes undercover to see if Dorsey is correct and in doing so befriends Schenkel, posing as a sex offender on parole and earning his trust. As the investigation unfolds, Stabler sets Schenkel up, but this time he doesn't take the bait. When Stabler's cover is blown, the investigation is not only compromised, but Stabler finds his life in danger.

Martin Sheen Signs on for NBC Comedy

Martin Sheen's tenure as President of the United States is soon to come to a close as NBC's 'West Wing' prepares to elect a successor to Jed Bartlet this winter. Now word has come that Sheen won't have far to go when it comes to his next project - executive producing a comedy for the same network. The show, apparently based on a situation from within his own family, follows a straight man who moves in with his gay older brother and partner, who are subsequently taking care of the straight man's mother-in-law, a fundamentalist Christian. Brian Bird ('Evening Shade', 'Touched By An Angel') will write and act as co-executive producer.

Hatch, 44, had been indicted September 8th on ten counts including tax evasion, filing a false return, mail fraud, wire fraud and tax fraud for tax returns filed for 2000 and 2001. Emmy Awards Ratings Finally Rise

The ratings for the Emmy Awards rose after two straight years of erosion, including a distressingly low number of viewers last year. 18.6 million folks tuned in to watch another three hours of vapid nothingness and Hollywood extravagance, the largest audience since almost 20 million watched in 2002. Last year had seen well less than 14 million watch. I readily admit that I wasn't one of the 18.6 million, and considering 'Medium' managed to get an acting award, I stand by my decision.

SPOILERS: Survivor 11, Week 1

You thought I forgot, didn't you... ?

THE TRIBES
Nakum - the yellow tribe - is Blake, Bobby Jon, Brandon, Brianna, Brooke, Cindy, Jim, Judd, and Margaret. Yaxha - the blue tribe - is Amy, Brian, Danni, Gary, Jamie, Lydia, Morgan, Rafe, and Stephenie.

THE TWIST
What are the two big twists? Well, I'm not sure if it's one or two twists, but last season's hard-done-by also-rans Bobby Jon and Stephenie will return tonight to get a second chance on separate tribes. You did notice their names in my tribe list, right?

IMMUNITY
The Immunity Challenge - titled "Paddle Battle" - is your traditional canoe out, get torches, light fire, win. Due to a potential CBS.com slipup that shows the Immunity Idol in the same frame as Amy I'll go with Yaxha to win.

BOOT
The fact he's old and, according to a Jeff Probst interview, chock full of attitude, I'll say they bid farewell to Jim.
