Posted by Rick Jessup, August 31 09:30 AM

One of the better music trends of the 90s - 'MTV Unplugged' - is poised to make a comeback with a September 23rd airing of 'Alicia Keys Unplugged'. Filmed at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, and featuring Mos Def, Common, Damian Marley, and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, the show will be followed up with a CD and DVD on October 11th. 'MTV Unplugged' took hit artists and had them perform their songs free of electric instruments, and became a big hit for Nirvana, Eric Clapton, Alice in Chains, Neil Young, and others.
